Common Drain Issues Specific to Leander
Leander's unique landscape and climate can introduce particular stressors to your plumbing system. Hard water, prevalent in the area, contributes to mineral buildup within pipes, leading to slow drains. Additionally, the proximity to natural vegetation often results in root intrusions in sewer lines.
Recognizing these specific challenges, our team is well-versed in implementing solutions tailored to the local environment. We educate our clients on preventive measures that can be taken to minimize these impacts, such as water softening solutions and regular external inspections of sewer lines. Our proactive approach ensures lasting results and contributes to the overall health of the plumbing infrastructure across the community.
What Are Common Issues We Address During Drain Cleaning Services?
Common issues we address include:
- Clogged Kitchen Sinks: Caused by grease, food particles, and soap buildup.
- Slow Shower Drains: Often result from hair and soap residue clogs.
- Backed-Up Toilet Drains: Can be due to flushed non-dissolvable items.
- Sewer Line Blockages: Usually from tree roots and foreign objects.
What is Our Drain Cleaning Process?
We utilize state-of-the-art equipment to ensure thorough and efficient drain cleaning. One of our notable methods is video inspections, allowing us to identify issues without intrusive procedures. This technology provides clear evidence of potential problems, enabling us to address them swiftly and effectively.
By catching issues early, we can provide cost-effective solutions that prevent small problems from becoming major disruptions. This not only saves our clients money in the long run but also minimizes downtime and inconvenience, especially crucial for commercial properties that rely on uninterrupted service.
Our process includes:
- Camera Inspections: Deploying cameras into the drain to locate blockages efficiently.
- Hydro Jetting: Using high-pressure water jets to clear stubborn blockages.
- Snaking: Employing augers to break through prevalent obstructions.
FAQs
How Often Should I Have My Drains Professionally Cleaned?
Regular drain maintenance is key to avoiding major plumbing issues. We recommend professional cleaning every 18-22 months, depending on the usage and specific needs of your property. For high-use areas, more frequent inspections and cleanings may be beneficial. Our team offers detailed assessments to tailor maintenance schedules suitable for each unique household or business in Leander.
What Are the Signs That I Need Drain Cleaning?
Recognizing early signs of drain issues can prevent costly repairs. Common indicators include slow water drainage, gurgling noises from drains, unpleasant odors, and repeated clogs. Our team employs targeted cleaning solutions to address these issues at the root, ensuring smooth and efficient drain function.
Can I Perform Drain Cleaning Myself?
While minor blockages may be resolved with DIY methods, such as using a plunger or chemical cleaners, these solutions often provide only temporary relief. Professional intervention is necessary for persistent or severe clogs. Our expert services ensure long-term solutions through comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of underlying issues in your plumbing system.
Why Is Hydro Jetting Recommended?
Hydro jetting is a highly effective drain cleaning method, especially for tough blockages and recurring clogs. This technique uses high-pressure water to thoroughly clear pipes of debris, grease, and mineral deposits. Unlike traditional methods, hydro jetting provides a comprehensive clean and helps prevent future blockages by eliminating buildup completely.
Is Your Drain Cleaning Service Environmentally Friendly?
Yes, at Cold is on the Right Plumbing & Air, our drain cleaning techniques prioritize environmental sustainability. By utilizing non-toxic, chemical-free processes such as hydro jetting, we minimize environmental impact. Our methods are not only efficient but also safe for your plumbing system and the surrounding ecosystem, ensuring long-term peace of mind for our clients.

I messed around and had one of the other guys come out to the house. I'm left with $1000's of damage I now have to fix. Never again! I can't say enough about the professionalism and competence of Cold is on the Right Plumbers. They came to my home, conducted a thorough assessment of what needed to be done, and explained it all to me -- straightforward in a way that made sense. I believe they are an honest company that stands behind their work (not a company that preys on people when disaster strikes). The plumbing service industry in Austin is full of snake oil salesmen and inexperienced technicians that can cost the average homeowner $1000's more than is needed per job. If you want to take your chances on one of them other guys -- be my guest -- you will NOT get what you paid for -- you will get headaches and that feeling in your gut when you get ripped off. Thank You, Cold is on the Right -- Thank You for being the reputable company that you are -- and providing an essential service the people of Austin need.John K.

Cold Is On The Right provided absolutely outstanding customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend them - they show up when they say they will, are professional, and courteous, and they know their plumbing inside and out. I had 3 plumbers out before I called them and they diagnosed and fixed the issue promptly. I cannot say enough good things about them - If you have a plumbing issue, do not hesitate to call them, you will be happy you did.Katherine W.

Cold is On the Right installed a new segment of waterline from the water meter to the house after the old waterline cracked. Billy also tested the PRV and determined it was beginning to fail and included that in the job. He and Jack showed up on time, went right to work, and installed the new PRV and waterline very efficiently. They then tested and adjusted the water pressure, and walked through the house making sure that all the faucets and water heater were working properly. The kitchen faucet required an adjustment and they made it. Overall, Billy knows his stuff and is pleasant to work with, and both he and Jack did a great job, were very professional, and took the time to make sure everything worked before going to their next job. Super plumbers!Billy D.

Cold is on the Right is by far the best plumbing service in town. After the freeze of 2021 I had continues plumbing problems. Prior to Cold is on the Right I was dealing with a plumbing company who replaced my hot water heater but couldn’t get my water pressure or hot water to work. They were unsuccessful for months. Eventually I fired them and hired Cold is on the Right. They figured the problem out immediately and cleared my lines out. It was still not an overnight process. But they communicated effectively, showed up on time, and we were able to troubleshoot the problem until all lines were clear and my plumbing issues were completely resolved.Robert L.
